Fifty years ago this summer, Los Angeles was rocked by one of the most horrific crimes in the city’s history. When the killing spree finally ended, eight people lay dead, including movie star Sharon Tate, celebrity hairdresser Jay Sebring and coffee heiress Abigail Folger. And the world had discovered a new face of evil.

Join celebrity journalist Tom O’Neill in a discussion of his new book, “Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA and the Secret History of the Sixties.”

O’Neill spent 20 years digging into the story of the Manson family, including interviews with everyone from prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi to Manson himself. O’Neill dissects the link between one of America’s most notorious killers and an effort by federal agents to use hallucinogenic drugs to influence behavior. It promises to be a fascinating night.

I love this bookstore. I visit when I come to LA. I am wondering two things. I wont be in LA until August. Can I pre order an autographed copy of the book—i read it on my kindle. Also, if there are question, I would like to know if he reached out to Candice Bergen ….no mention of her.

    Thanks so much!

Follow up: the book was OUTSTANDING and should be required reading after Helter Skelter. I have read a lot of Manson/60’s, govt books, but this was absolutely brilliant. So many details, so many new questions, ………..hopefully will lead to a series and/or a next book please.
