A native Angeleno, Nic Cha Kim has lived in East L.A., Westlake, and the San Gabriel Valley, but will always consider Downtown L.A. his home base.
A three-time Emmy winning reporter, Nic is the 2018 “Television Journalist of the Year” by the L.A. Press Club. Past accolades also include six Golden Mikes, a National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Award, and SoCal Journalism Award. Passionate about covering artist communities, Nic once owned his own digital and video art gallery and is the founder of Gallery Row, a creative district in the heart of Downtown L.A.
Before Spectrum News 1, Nic reported for SoCal Connected on KCET and worked as a multimedia journalist for Free Speech TV.
