THE POST TEASER

The 3rd Annual Veritas Award for the Best Film Based on or Inspired by Real Events and People went to 20th Century Fox’s "The Post." This award is judged by members of the LAPC — based equally upon fidelity of subject matter and artistic excellence.

Screenwriters Liz Hannah and Josh Singer and producers Tim and Trevor White of Star Thrower Entertainment stopped by for a panel discussion with Daniel Ellsberg of Pentagon Papers fame. LAPC President Chris Palmeri moderated the panel and Vice President Cher Calvin co-hosted.

“The Post” is the story of a cover-up spanning the terms of four U.S. presidents which challenged the country’s first female newspaper publisher Kay Graham and the hard-driving editor Ben Bradlee to join in an unprecedented battle between journalism and government.
