Brenda Elizondo recently graduated from Cal State Fullerton, where she received her B.A. in communications with an emphasis in Spanish media. Throughout her college career, she was involved with NBCUniversal as she became an NBCAcademy Fellow two years in a row and eventually interned for Telemundo 52 Los Angeles and NBC4 LA. She served as the Student Representative for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) and is currently volunteering with the NAHJ-LA chapter’s social media page.
She recently finished her internship with the Los Angeles Times for their new Latino beat, DE LOS, and is passionate about highlighting the diverse hues of Latinidad and Latino culture. She is currently a freelancer with the Los Angeles Times and continues to produce social video packages and articles. She aspires to be an ethnicity reporter based in Southern California.
