RECEPTION FOR EMMY NOMINATED DOCUMENTARY PRODUCERS

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences extends a very special invitation to all members of the Los Angeles Press Club to meet and greet Emmy nominated documentary producers at a reception at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 7 at their home in North Hollywood.

The event will coincide with the 53rd annual Emmys which will be handed out on Sept. 8 and Sept. 16. Among the nominees are for outstanding non-fiction special are History Channel’s “Egypt Beyond the Pyramids”; PBS’ “Scottsboro: An American Tragedy”; and HBO’s “Half Past Autumn: The Life and Works of Gordon Parks”, “Living Dolls: The Making of a Child Beauty Queen,” and “Dwarfs: A Fairy Tale.” Nominees for non-fiction series include PBS’ “American Masters: Finding Lucy”; VH-1’s “Behind the Music: Cat Stevens”; A&E’s “Biography: Seseme Street”; Bravo’s “Inside the Actors Studio: Mike Myers” and PBS’ “Jazz.”
