Emily Elena Dugdale (she/her/ella) is an award-winning journalist and a criminal justice reporter at KPCC/LAist, with a personal focus on the experience of incarcerated Californians. She’s currently a ProPublica Local Reporting Network grant recipient, working on an investigative series on policing and justice in the Antelope Valley. Previously, she worked in podcasting and local news in Honolulu, the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and abroad in her native country, Colombia.
