The Los Angeles Press Club board has appointed a new member, Francine Kiefer from The Christian Science Monitor. Kiefer is the West Coast bureau chief for The Christian Science Monitor and her coverage has received three first-prize awards from the Los Angeles Press Club. Prior to her West Coast post, Kiefer reported for the Monitor from Washington, first as a White House correspondent covering the administrations of Bill Clinton and George W.
