Civil rights lawyer Carol Sobel has been named the Los Angeles Press Club’s 2026 Guardian Awardee for Contributions to Press Freedom. “The history of civil rights in Los Angeles is as glamorous and gritty as the town itself, packed with famous characters and scenes.
