Help Build A Better Press Club

We’re looking for volunteers who want to help out the Press Club in planning this year’s agenda. Whatever your interest, there’s a place for you on one of our committees.

Have party planning skills? Our Activities Committees needs your ideas and energy. Want to see the best stories from around the country? Join our judging staff as we exchange entries with other clubs across the country for the Southern California Journalism Awards in June.

Have a knack for attracting new members? Join the Membership Committee as it seeks out journalists who are yet to discover all the club has to offer. “Above all, the Press Club is a service organization devoted to addressing the special needs of our members,” says TV Guide’s Ted Johnson, the club’s new president for 2003.

To do this, we rely on volunteers, who have been
essential in reviving the Press Club in the past few years. It is my hope that many more people will get involved, and will gain new insights as they interact with a diverse array of journalists.

If interested, call the club at (323) 469-8180.
