A special service was held March 11 at the Fallen Journalists Memorial at Cal State Northridge to install the late Larry Greene, a cameraman and producer for KCBS-TV in Los Angeles.

Greene was killed in a tragic accident in the Persian Gulf last year when a helicopter in which he was riding struck the mast of Syrian ship.

Greene was an award-winning videographer, remembered for many terrific local as well as national and international stories, who went home from Press Club galas with numerous firstplace awards. But
he was also greatly admired for his upbeat attitude, decency and fellowship toward other journalists.

Attending the service at the university were Greene’s wife and family, co-workers Drew Griffin and Randy Paige, and KCBS news director Nancy Bauer Gonzales. Jim Foy, NBC (Ret.), represented the Press Club.
