RTNA condemns San Francisco Police Department Raids on Journalist’s Home

The Radio and Television News Association of Southern California issued a statement condemning the raid on San Francisco Freelance Journalist Brian Carmody’s home and the offices of North Bay News by the San Francisco Police Department. The SFPD conducted its raid after Carmody refused to identify a source who leaked to him an internal police report regarding the death of Public Defender Jeff Adachi. We’re happy to announce our Board of Directors has grown! George Pennacchio is the entertainment reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News and also hosts the stations Oscars specials. During his broadcasting career, George has won three Emmy Awards for his work. He has also been honored with The Press Award by The Publicists Guild of America for his coverage of the entertainment industry.
