The Press Club invites you to: Book Party 11/01, Film Panel 11/10, Meet Howard Rosenberg 11/18

Thursday, August 19, 2004 2:01 PM

WHO: Amy Alkon, Emmanuelle Richard, Cathy Seipp and the L.A. Press Club invite you to…

WHAT: A nonpartisan election eve party celebrating the publication of the new book “All the President’s Spin,” by the Spinsanity guys: Ben Fritz (who writes for Variety in L.A. and so will be at the party), Bryan Keefer and Brendan Nyan (who do not live in L.A. and so, alas, will not.)

WHEN: Monday, Nov. 1, from 7-10 p.m.

WHERE: Nic’s Martini Lounge in Beverly Hills, 453 N. Canon Dr. (310) 550-5707.

WHY: Because Spinsanity is the nation’s leading watchdog of manipulative political rhetoric, and has managed to annoy everyone from Ann Coulter to Robert Scheer. Because the ultra-cool Nic’s is making special red and blue Bushtinis and Kerrytinis for us. Note: If you want an early start, they’re half-price before 7 p.m. For the undecided: Get two at a time and make them purple!

ALSO: Spinsanity will not only be selling “All The President’s Spin” at the party, but has four copies to give away to lucky party guests who correctly identify various sources of particularly egregious spin.

RSVP: Is a must, to: info@lapressclub.org or to 323-469-8180
