BEST USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA TO ENHANCE and/or COVER A STORY, by a group

JOVRNALISM Staff, JOVRNALISM, “Trashed: The Tijuana River Valley Pollution Crisis”
http://trashed.jovrnalism.io/

Judges’ comment: This is a great way to take a reader to the scene of the story. This is a good out-of-the-box example of using social media to enhance coverage. It goes beyond simply recording a video or going live on social. This is a user experience that readers can experience on their own time and not necessarily while scrolling through a newsfeed.

2nd Christina Schoellkopf, Mary Kate Metivier, Diya Chacko and Tessa Bangs, Los Angeles Times, “College Admissions Scandal Snares Actresses, CEOs and Coaches”

3rd Shannon O’Connor and Erica Myers, The Hollywood Reporter, “Comic-Con 2019”
