Scoring big in red and blue states alike, President Ted Johnson was the top vote getter for the 2005 Press Club Board of Directors.
Other incumbents also made a strong showing. Anthea Raymond, who has been instrumental in organizing Press Club events, came in second followed by freelance investigative writer Michael Collins. Beverly Hills Courier editor Norma Zager will also serve another term.
Newcomers to the board will include Bloomberg’s Greg Baumann, First Amendment expert Richard McKee and magazine and Internet journalist Matt Welch.
Falling short — but like all members, encouraged to stay active as volunteers — were Christine Xie, Christopher Lisotta and Linda Renaud.
